Bachelorette Official Trailer

Video

Summary from Sundance:

Regan is used to being first at everything. Imagine her horror and chagrin when she finds out the girl everyone called Pig Face in high school is going to tie the knot before she does! But Regan sucks it up and takes on bridesmaid duties along with her childhood pals: substance-abusing, promiscuous Gena and ditzy Katie. The single ladies are determined to put their bitterness aside and have an awesomely hedonistic bachelorette party. Armed with acerbic wit and seemingly endless supplies of coke and booze, the foul-mouthed femmes embark on one very long and emotional night filled with major wedding-dress panic, various bodily fluids, and cute ex-boyfriends.

Ok, so this looks like a female version of The Hangover. I am glad to see Rebel Wilson getting more parts since Bridesmaids (she is also going to be in Pitch Perfect, a movie about collegiate a capella groups). The trailer wasn’t that funny to me.  This movie will probably be terrible.

A few questions:

  • Why do all movies with female leads have to be about weddings?
  • Why was the fat girl bullied in high school? Since like 65% of Americans are obese, a lot of bullies don’t target fat people because everyone is fat.
  • Why are women always portrayed as “mean girls?”
  • Will most of the humor come from sex, drugs, alcohol, and bodily functions? Because that is lazy.

Safety Not Guaranteed

Based on an ad that appeared in the mid-1990s in a survivalist magazine, Safety Not Guaranteed is the story of Kenneth, an eccentric supermarket clerk who claims he can time travel, and Darius, a magazine intern who thinks Kenneth might be her scoop.

The movie claims to be a “hilarious, smart, and unexpectedly heartfelt journey,” which actually might be true since it is produced by the same people who produced Little Miss Sunshine, one of my favorite movies.

Plus, Aubrey Plaza! She is awesome!

Vintage? Retro? Plaza in The Jeannie Tate Show!

Snow White and The Huntsman

Florence + The Machine released the music video for “Breath of Life,” which will be on the soundtrack of Snow White and The Huntsman.

I just saw Dark Shadows, which was boring and long, but I think that Snow White will be good!  SWATH opens June 1st.

Hunger Games Sountrack

I just finished the last book yesterday.  I have that bittersweet feeling you get when you finish a good book, you feel satisfied with how things turned out, but sad because it is over.  Don’t let the popularity of The Hunger Games turn you off; don’t act too cool for school!  These are exciting, fast-paces stories with an abundance of cliffhangers.  Also, there are only three of them, so hurry up since the first movies comes out on Friday!

The soundtrack is bound to be phenomenal, with names like Glen Hansard and Neko Case attached.  It is available for pre-order on itunes now.

Buy your tickets for Friday!
