I couldn’t find out if this girl ever ended up working for Queen Latifah.
I quit my job. I’ve been gone for like three weeks. And it’s been great. Great because I don’t have to deal with any of the insane BS that I used to put up with. I’m still getting texts like once a week from people asking me how to do stuff, but each day the memories of the mall fade away a little more…
In place of my job, I’ve been working at my internship four days a week. It is definitely weird to be on a 9-5, 10-6 schedule. And I basically sit all day, which sucks. But I also learn things!
I’m interning for the news department of a radio station.

MOS (man on the street) interviews
Also, I still like this video. Mostly because I like the song.
Katy and Katie, putting DIYs to the test, so we don’t have to!
I’m not much of a Pinterest gal, but I’ll read Lifehacker occasionally and glance through Martha Stewart Living every now and then (when I decide to blow through money while stuck in an airport). All those crafts and decorations and recipes! I always think the same thing, “I will probably never try that.” It’s saved me tearing out a lot of magazine pages.
Here come Katy and Katie to the rescue!
They best friends and they are hilarious. The Hairpin features their videos, that’s how I first found them, but they are also on tumblr, twitter, and youtube.
HELLO BEST FRIEND!
I’m not watching this show. I mean I’ve seen like three episodes, but I’m not “watching watching” it. Sorry Uncle Hank!
Saw the last ten minutes of yesterday’s episode yesterday (“Unforgiving Circles”) and this song was playing at the end. M83 insists on being so mumbly.
This is a cool music video.
Send your dreams
Where nobody hides
Give your tears
To the tide
There’s no end
There is no goodbye
With the night
This is the best. How do you even think of this? Where does this idea come from? I want to go to there.
This show is amazing! I kept hearing about it on Laughspin and Splitsider and I don’t know why it took me so long to watch it, especially since A) Kate Mulgrew is in it, aka Captain Janeway and B) it’s only 15 minutes long. Watch the show here!
The show is a parody of procedural dramas, CSI, Law and Order, the Mentalist, yada yada, which is a great premise. NTSF:SD:SUV:: (National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sports Utility Vehicle::) follows a highly trained team as they save San Diego, and the world, from destruction (or sometimes not).
The show first began as mock promos during Children’s Hospital (another great show) and then fans began demanding more. There have been two seasons so far and the third will air later this year on Adult Swim.
Paul Sheer is the star, Trent Hauser, and the show’s creator.
I love Newman’s reaction because because I would also be sooooo comepltely surprised and freaked out.You are already at a comedy show, man, why do you need cocaine? Endorphins! Laughter is a clean drug!
Check out Splitsider!
Well, President Obama and Romney can agree on one thing 🙂
I love Very Mary Kate, but this is really fantastic. Her Maggie Smith as Dowager Countess Violet Grantham impression is spot on and I’m a huge fan of the BBC reboot of Sherlock.
I love a good interview. Especially with people who are friends IRL.
Summary from Sundance:
Regan is used to being first at everything. Imagine her horror and chagrin when she finds out the girl everyone called Pig Face in high school is going to tie the knot before she does! But Regan sucks it up and takes on bridesmaid duties along with her childhood pals: substance-abusing, promiscuous Gena and ditzy Katie. The single ladies are determined to put their bitterness aside and have an awesomely hedonistic bachelorette party. Armed with acerbic wit and seemingly endless supplies of coke and booze, the foul-mouthed femmes embark on one very long and emotional night filled with major wedding-dress panic, various bodily fluids, and cute ex-boyfriends.
Ok, so this looks like a female version of The Hangover. I am glad to see Rebel Wilson getting more parts since Bridesmaids (she is also going to be in Pitch Perfect, a movie about collegiate a capella groups). The trailer wasn’t that funny to me. This movie will probably be terrible.
A few questions:
- Why do all movies with female leads have to be about weddings?
- Why was the fat girl bullied in high school? Since like 65% of Americans are obese, a lot of bullies don’t target fat people because everyone is fat.
- Why are women always portrayed as “mean girls?”
- Will most of the humor come from sex, drugs, alcohol, and bodily functions? Because that is lazy.
